 |
Notification of Interview Performance
Successful applicants will be notified of their acceptance within 10 days
of the interview. In order for us to continue the placement process on your
behalf, you must pay a further $500 within 10 days of acceptance notification.

 |
Placement Notification
Applicants who are successfully matched with a location and host institution
will be notified of placement details as soon as they become available.
Be aware that the reality of life in China and Thailand is such that circumstances
and requirements can change, and there is often a lack of specific information
regarding placement. It is for this reason that flexibility and adaptability
are key requirements for this program. |
 |
Placement Acceptance
When you inform us that you accept the placement we have found for you,
we will continue the process of obtaining the necessary paperwork from the
host institution and local authorities to secure your visa. |
 |
Final Fee Instalment and Passport
Submittal
The balance of the program fee is due approximately six weeks prior
to departure, along with your passport, completed visa application, and
medical examination form. Please avoid overseas travel from this period
onward. |
Medical Examination
All participants are required by the Chinese authorities to complete
a thorough medical examination, including an HIV test, chest x-ray and
ECG, before taking up residency in China. All costs associated with this
process are to be borne by the participant. Medical forms to be filled
out by your doctor will be provided to you by us. While these forms are
not required to secure your work visa, they are necessary to get your
residence permit once in China. Test results and completed forms will
need a doctor’s signature and stamp or may need to be notarized.
All test results (such as HIV test) also need to be attached to the medical
report.
Some Chinese provinces have changed their regulations, now requiring
that teacher’s completed Medical Examination forms be authenticated
by the Chinese Government. If you are placed in an involved province,
we will contact you with instructions to have your Medical Examination
form authenticated by your nearest Chinese Consulate, or upon arrival
in China if possible. If authenticated in China, you may have to be re-examined
by a Chinese doctor at your own expense. |
 |
Departure
Participants arriving at the scheduled arrival date and time in Bangkok
or Shanghai will be met at the airport by staff. Participants arriving
at a different time must make their own way to the orientation site. |
